About show_DB

So, you're wondering what show_DB is? To put it simply, it's a record of everything done by the Whitkirk Arts Guild amateur dramatics group.

Formed in 1952, Arts Guild has been running shows every year for members of the community who wish to join in, and those who wish to watch. This database is as complete a listing as we can put together of who did what, and when. Arts Guild have collected a huge store of material about their history, from newspaper clippings through to video - and we aim to put them all online right here in what is believed to be a world first.

Help Us

Information is constantly being added to the database - there are over 8 lever-arch files full of posters, photographs and reviews all of which are being digitised and used to supplement the core information of the cast lists. Despite this, we want more. If you have been associated with Arts Guild at all and have anything tucked away in the loft or at the back of a wardrobe you think we may be interested in, please let us know by using the contact page. We will even scan and return items if you want to send them to us, again just use the contact page and we'll let you know more.
