"Fizzing" GODSPELL by Whitkirk Arts Guild
I can't think when I've enjoyed a show more than Whitkirk Arts Guild's production of "GODSPELL" this week. I you didn't see it then you missed a brilliant production worthy of much greater support from this parish.
From beginning to end, it fizzed along, bringing dramatically to life Our Lord's ministry in a lively and entertaining manner which made the inevitable conclusion all the more poignant, Who, I wonder, did not feel a shiver down the spine at the Crucifixion and slow procession afterwards to the strains of 'Prepare ye the way of the Lord.'
The skilful direction of Gail Jackson and Michael Walsh gave us a feast of splendid singing, mime and dance. The cast, superbly led by multi-talented Andrew Brown gave of their all. Set, lighting and sound were incredibly good and I left the hall thoughtful but with a happy glow.
Thank you Arts Guild for a marvellously stylish and moving show - a memorable evening.
